On top of Lagoa das Furnas

Fog, clouds and even a cold wind couldn’t stop us on the way to the top of Lagoa das Furnas, the Pico Ferro. Don’t be afraid and take the longer way up to see the incredible beauty of the fauna of the Azores. Palms, deciduous trees, huge ferns, mushrooms, conifers, everything you can imagine being part of a forest in the subtropical zone.

For some seconds wind and clouds gave us a chance to watch the valley with the Lagoa das Furnas. We have to be back in summer, when the Atlantic is more quiet letting the sun laughing.
