Last month

First month of our world trip is over. Not everything went as planned but hey… we have so many stories to tell! First month have been filled with exciting experiences and new adventures for sure. Below you can see some of them.



1. How is a 1x2m room supposed to fit all our stuff in? (Somehow it worked ) • 2. Are these really all the clothes Gabriela intends to take with her? • 3. He is ready to go! • 4. Last selfie in our flat. We realized that day, that this is really happening.



1.Jabriyalla? Yalla! We are in Saudi! • 2. You know you are in Medinah when you find a Qur'an on your bed and a rug to pray on • 3. Tier check in • 4. Someone needs a quick reminder of how to dive after a 3-year break.

All the furniture in the restaurant packed away so non of them gets dirty • 4. After being detained by the Uzbek police for possession of a drone in Tashkent, we missed our train and sat in a new one on the floor because we didn't have a seat and the ticket.



1. The ladies in Uzbekistan were so fascinated by Patrik that they absolutely wanted a souvenir photo with him • 2. First encounter with the mountains on the way to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. • 3. We ran away from Uzbekistan that day. We had sent a drone by post the day before and were afraid we would be stopped by the police again. We crossed the border on foot and laughed about the whole situation until our stomachs hurt. • 4. The gentleman very much wanted to take picture of G. in the Mosque.

1. Sleepless night after first earthquake on Pamir Highway in Tajikistan (fortunately we didn't know that night, that minimum 13 were killed by the 6.5 magnitude earthquake)• 2. Snow higher than us • 3. The first vegetarian food available on the Pamir Highway (and the only one for the rest of our stay) potatoes with rice and bread • 4. One of the many meals we were invited to by the local inhabitants of the Pamir highway.

1. The only road of passage was closed for 4 h in front of our nose. • 2. What does G do in this situation? Sits down on a stone, which is right on the border with Afghanistan, and meditates for 45 minutes • 3. Every day we got sand everywhere. It's just a shame that for 5 days there was no access to running water and a shower. • 4. Happy face after showering for the first time in 5 days.
